Marketing English in Ireland Online Workshop

Marketing English in Ireland (MEI), the leading and longest-serving association of English Language Schools in Ireland, will host an online workshop for MEI member schools, partner agents, and industry service providers on Thursday 2nd December.

The event will be attended by 140+ delegates. This includes representation from 48 English Language schools of all sizes, locations, and varieties across the island of Ireland, as well as 83 agents from 20 different countries. 5 industry service providers will be in attendance. In addition to a busy schedule of one-to-one meetings between delegates, there will be presentations and seminars from the event Gold Sponsors, Higher Education Marketing and Trinity College London. MEI will also be launching a new promotional video and giving away Irish-themed prizes in a competition for agents.

How does the MEI online conference work?

• All you need is a Study Travel Network account to participate.

• Schedule all your meetings in advance through the Meeting Manager tool.

• 20+ meeting slots available for appointments. • Meeting appointments appear in your own time zone.

• Webinars, promotional activities, and Irish themed competition.

“I am looking forward to catching up with agents from around the world again at the upcoming MEI workshop, 2021. The online conference with Study Travel is a hassle-free way of connecting with your partners. The platform is fluid and easy to use and there is full support from the Study Travel team.” Gina Witherow – Director, Donegal English Language School

"We were really impressed with MEI's last online workshop and we were very eager to get signed up for this one. Everest recently joined MEI and it is an amazing opportunity for us to meet agents from around the world. The online format works really well and gives us the chance to get the most out of the day with a busy schedule of meetings. We are looking forward to the next one." Anne-Marie Connolly - Company Director, Everest Language School

Since the previous MEI Online Workshop which took place in March 2021, MEI Schools have made the necessary preparations for the safe resumption of activities in line with the ELT reopening plan for Ireland. Schools can now operate fully in-person if they comply with public health guidelines and all relevant travel restrictions and advice as it evolves. It is the responsibility of MEI Schools to maintain the duty of care for the health and wellbeing of their staff, students, and communities, as the levels of activity increase.

As we look forward to 2022, the ELT sector in Ireland is optimistic about a robust recovery. Ireland has earned a reputation as a premium, internationally respected, language learning destination. Ireland is a small island nation but also a dynamic and open economy. Following Brexit, Ireland is now the only native English-speaking country in the European Union. Ireland is a nation that has traditionally excelled at changing direction quickly and efficiently, with an attitude of willingly embracing the opportunities that change offers. MEI will be offering support to our member schools in Ireland and partners around the world as the sector rebounds. As Ireland reopens MEI can assure education agents that they can send students to MEI schools with confidence, ease, and assurance.

“Now that Ireland is open for business again it gives me great pleasure to welcome our education partners worldwide to meet our member schools and look positively to 2022 and beyond, when the blue skies will drive the dark clouds away.” David O’Grady - CEO, Marketing English in Ireland
